Accessibility

Created on 28 February 2025.

Website Development

This website was developed by Jessica Oddi with the core belief that Access is Love (credit: project by Alice Wong, Mia Mingus, and Sandy Ho). This page outlines the development of the site, testing, and a call for community feedback.

Jess designed the site in Webflow following WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) as a base. Simple HTML, CSS (styling), and JavaScript. Practices from the Disabled community were followed, such as image descriptions, larger font sizes, and ample padded layouts.

Developer Testing

Jess tested the site with the following techniques and technologies:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Edge.
  • Devices: Mac/Windows desktop, Samsung S24 Pro/iPhone mobile, and iPad.
  • Screen Readers: VoiceOver, NVDA, Narrator, and TalkBack.
  • Alternate Navigation: Voice Control and Voice Access.
  • Manual: Keyboard-only navigation, zoom, high contrast, and color filters.
  • Automated: ARC Toolkit with 0 errors.

Community Feedback

Accessibility is a commitment that must adapt over time. It involves feedback from lived-experiences to better serve the Disabled community. We'd love to know your thoughts navigating this website. Please reach out through the channels below:
